Urbana Press Control Upgrade
Siemens circuit breaker plant in Urbana, Ohio had a need to upgrade the failing controls on their HPM plastic molding presses. We decided an onsite upgrade was the most economical and would minimize production loss. We designed and built a new sub-panel to reduce wiring time. Convert hydraulic transfer control to servo system at a Con Agra pudding plant. Increased control allows for reduced packaging weight and less waste. The high tech Siemens S5 control features three parallel processors. Complete upgrade of the control system was not financially feasible.
